The independent press, which is referred to as the oxygen of social freedom and democracy, is always faced with various local and international problems, and the worst is in areas where there is conflict or dictatorship.

The media, whose goal is to correct the society in its various parts, and to guide the country’s administration in the legal way and the responsibility assigned to it, is in the performance of its primary duty, it is exposed to all the risks that may come from the end of not telling the truth or conveying the truth.

Somalia is a developing country whose laws are not strict, and its administrative system is not yet fully established and there are many conflicts surrounding the process of governance. killing, wounding, arrest, and intimidation.

Also, living conditions, lack of training, and information that make it difficult for them to find some parties are against the work process of independent media in Africa, especially in Somalia.

Developed countries refer to the press as a lens through which leaders and society see their bad and good, and justice as a light, but Somalis do not have this positive understanding.
