Saudi Arabia warned of the economic damage resulting from the war in Gaza

The World Economic Forum, which opened this Sunday in the city of Riyadh, was largely focused on the situation of the war in the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

The war in Gaza, along with conflicts in Ukraine and elsewhere, has put “a lot of pressure” on the “economy,”  Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan said in one of the first two-day discussions at the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The government of Saudi Arabia, which is hosting the company, called for “stability” in the Middle East and warned of the impact of the war between Israel and Hamas, which could cause economic damage to the region and the world.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Palestinian leaders, and senior officials from other countries who are trying to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas are among the guests at the Riyadh summit.
